Sara Akbarian Tefaghi is a self-taught artist, mother of two, and founder of Sara Akbarian Tefaghi Art LLC. After immigrating to the U.S. in 2012, she rebuilt her life and creative identity from the ground up. Her art is a reflection of resilience, transformation, and the human experience—told not with words, but with brushstrokes.
Her signature series, Ribbon People and Ribbon Land, trademarked in 2024, emerged from profound personal loss. Following two miscarriages, Sara created Loss, the first Ribbon People piece—a visual language born from grief, love, and silent strength. Flowing ribbons represent the fragile yet powerful ways we hold ourselves together when words fall short.
Sara’s work explores the full spectrum of emotion—from apathy to love, isolation to connection. Each piece is a story, inviting viewers to see themselves in the ribbons, in the spaces between, and in the beauty of vulnerability.
